Talking through, philosophizing and tracing popular party dances that disappear. Where do they go when they vanish? Who defines the taste of a time period? Nine amazing dancers do not give the answers! Totally cine-phile, totally choro-phile and a total disaster…

The correction Part I is a peculiar mixture of lecture-performance, burlesque, dance performance and filmmaking, that the creator started making especially for MIR. Nine dancers discuss, philosophize and trace popular dances of disappearing parties, asking questions to which they are not able to give any answers – and certainly no one else can either. Where do disappearing dances go? Who determines the taste of each era? And what will be the dance of the future which is to be in a position to express both the sublime and the popular (pop) art? If, of course, such a distinction makes sense… Totally cine-phile, totally choro-phile and a total disaster…

“For centuries, dance has been an underrated or even forbidden art form. In the 20th century, successful attempts were made to ‘upgrade’ it and integrate it into the realm of the sublime intellectual forms. How ‘haunted’ are we still by this effort in the 21st century, and how afraid are we of falling off again?”
