Is she a cartoon? A dancer? A legend? The stage goes on fire! Just experience it!

Belgian Léa Dubois is a phenomenal performer. Le goût du drame [Taste for Drama] is a tribute to artists who set the stage on fire, both in pop culture and in the performing arts. It is an immersion in the search for joy. A half-hour of uplifting dance, by a performer who takes over the space like a cartoon. The stage lights up! And, as we all know, joy is contagious…

“Far from tragedy, Le goût du drame is a race for joy. A desire for immense. It is adding poetry to life, as simple as it is, to make it more intense”.
Léa Dubois

Le goût du drame is presented at MIRfestival as a work in progress.

Léa Dubois studied dance in the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp. From 2009 to 2014 she worked with choreographers in Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany. In 2014 she returned to Brussels to start working with Ultima Vez, Wim Vandekeybus’ company, for the cover of What The Body Does Not Remember. Since 2016 she has been dancing at Rosas, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s company, in pieces such as Rain, Rosas Danst Rosas, Achterland, Drumming. Currently she continues to work as a freelance dancer with Rosas and smaller structures while she is also starting to think about her personal work.
